26 May Red Innova Summer Quarter 2020
Written by: Laura McDermott, Design Lead at Social Innovation Center@IE
Red Innova is our global community of social innovators connected with the Fundación MAPFRE Awards for Social Innovation, boosted by IE. One of the best parts of my job as designer and director of the #RedInnova is being able to collaborate with some of the most innovative, passionate and resilient people from across the globe.
Two years ago, when the community had only about 20 members, we started with our human-centred approach to designing our program of activities for the members. We are happy to say that to this day, with over 70 members from across start-ups and institutions, we continue to design activities through empathising with the needs and stages of the projects. We recently published the design of this term’s program, which can be found on the IE Social Innovation blog here
In addition, and fuelled by a desire to adapt our content for the different languages spoken in the community, we recorded a “highlights” video. In this video, which is broken down in English, Spanish and Portuguese, everyone can learn about what we have coming up in the language that best suits them. We also get a chance to see some familiar faces – Maria Mateo Iborra from IBISA and Caroline Luiz Pimenta from Manejebem.
