Top talent with refugee status joins IE on full scholarship

A very talented professional with refugee status just joined IE’s High Impact Online Program in Digital Marketing on a full scholarship. We were able to identify and invite the student thanks to a collaboration with C.E.A.R (Comisión Española de Ayuda al Refugiado) and the social venture Paz.ai.

At IE, we have a strong commitment to attracting and training the best talent in the world. Diversity, which we hold as a critical value of our institution, is not only about gender, race, or sexual orientation. Very often, the diversity that adds more to our community has to do with the various paths of life we have each had to walk. Thanks to the beneficiary of the scholarship, our partners, and our student’s commitment to the clubs activities, we can now be an even more diverse and, thus, innovative and interesting community.

During the previous academic year, several IE Clubs were invited to participate in IE’s Social Innovation Challenge, a competition among IE Clubs to sponsor a scholarship with their activities. Clubs could accumulate points accrued by boosting their engagement with their foundational objectives. The first one to reach a predetermined threshold unblocked the scholarship. IE’s Net Impact Club was the first club to reach the threshold and won the challenge on the 24th of June 2019.
