23 Oct Launch of the Third Edition of the Fundación MAPFRE Awards for Social Innovation

“We are looking for projects that are ready to scale their social impact in health, insurance innovation or sustainable/safe mobility.” This is the reason why we have been travelling from Mexico to Chile meeting potential candidates to become the winners of the Third Edition of the Fundación MAPFRE Awards for Social Innovation boosted by IE. It is amazing how the ecosystem is growing in Medellin; how business models have consolidated on start-ups in Lima. Is impacting to see specialization on subjects in Recife & Belo Horizonte or even live personally social changes in Santiago while Argentina was voting for a new President.

The application phase is open already. In previous editions, more than 450 social innovators applied, from which 9 semi-finalists per region (Brazil, LatAm and Europe) pitched at the regional semi-final events in Sao Paulo, Mexico City and Madrid. The finalists attended the Grand Finale, where the winner in each category was granted €30,000 to boost their projects.
