11 Jun IE’s IMBA students consulting probono for IFC’s Transformational Business Awards

IFC, FT and IE have partnered to offer companies selected by IFC and FT the opportunity to receive free support from students in IE’s world class International MBA program (consistently ranked among the best in the world). 5 teams of IE’s International MBA students have chosen to devote their pre-graduation exercise to benefit the companies shortlisted by IFC/FT in the SME track of their Transformational Business Awards. Each of the teams has agreed with the companies on the aspect of the entity this consulting project should address. Students are using the skills acquired during the MBA program to create positive impact for them.

During this 2 month consulting experience, students have also supported the companies in strengthening their projects as they prepared to pitch in front of investors in June 6^th. After London’s pitch slam, they will continue to work with them until July, when they will deliver final recommendations. The scope of the projects range from increasing revenue at local business to improving the customer experience, expanding internationally, boosting social impact or designing a fundraising strategy.
