11 Jun FROM 500 SOCIAL INNOVATION PROJECTS TO 74 PRE-SEMIFINALISTS

During these last weeks, 20 IE mentors, high-qualified profiles for each vertical, have evaluated close to 500 candidacies. Taking into account these 5 aspects (1) Potential for social impact; (2) Innovation; (3) Viability; (4) Team and (5) Maturity of the idea, today we can say that 74 pre-semifinals are ranked as the best innovation ideas out of 500 candidacies.

We now confront the challenge to filter further the 74 candidacies as we look for 27 semifinalists. The 27 will compete accross 3 regions (1) Europe; (2) LATAM and (3) Brazil; and 3 categories for each region: (1) Health, (2) Mobility and Traffic Safety and (3) Insurance Innovation.

Selected semifinalists will defend their idea face to face at one of the challenging events (Mexico DC -12^th July-; Sao Paulo -26^th July-, and Madrid –September-). Semifinalists will receive mentoring, exposure to experts and international travel opportunities to the semifinal events.
