11 Jun BLOCKCHAIN4GOOD MEETS DESIGN THINKG!

IE’s Social Innovation department joined Blockchain4GoodRocks, Design4Chain and Fundacion ONCE in a very special event that brought together the best of Human Centered Design and Blockchain. The event took place 1st and 2nd of June in Madrid, at IE’s entrepreneurship space: Area 31.

Five experts in Blockchain and Design Thinking worked as facilitators guiding the 25 participants from a diverse crowd of developers, designers and management experts as they came up with blockchain-based human centered solutions through five social challenges chosen between all the proposals received from the participants. During these two days, participants focused their efforts in bringing successfully to term each challenge assigned. They worked in groups of five people in a collaborative environment, always assisted by the facilitators who guided them by using design-thinking tools to ideate, prototype and validate their projects without forgetting the use of blockchain in their proposals.

At the end of the second day, participants summited their result in front of their colleagues and received feedback about how they can implement their ideas. It was an incredible collaborative event where all the participants, facilitators and staff felt very motivated working to solve different problems for disabled people or create new companies using crowdfunding to reduce costs.
