08 May Social Impact Project by MCXI at Fundación Tomillo
For the past three months the students of the Master in Customer Experience and Innovation (MCXI) took part on the Social Impact Project at Fundación Tomillo. This was an integrative part of their master’s experience, combining all the creative, practical, and strategic aspects of the program.
MCXI students worked with Fundación Tomillo to define and develop a social impact project which addressed a real-world opportunity to create sustainable impact. On this first edition, students worked with the challenge of “How might we augment the employability of the beneficiaries of Fundación Tomillo by means of Human Centred Design and Customer Experience?
During the project, students worked through the process of defining the problem, gathering and analyzing data, designing an appropriate and ethical strategy, formulating and evaluating options, making recommendations to address the problem, implementing solutions, building the business case, and delivering the roadmaps for implementation.
Carmen García de Andrés, President of Fundación Tomillo shared her experience with us: “The four presentations, ideas and prototypes where very interesting for us and we will certainly consider implementing some of these on the way we support increasing our beneficiaries employability, as well as in our communication with other partners”.
We congratulate the first generation of the MCXI program and we look forward to supporting more social enterprises applying Human Centerd Design to social innovation challenges.
